This is the tale of two friends, both Texas A&M grads and Baylor nursing students,
who asked the Lord how He wanted to define nursing in their lives. Called by God to missions since childhood, and with hearts inclined toward Africa, Sarah and Heather spent three months serving in a sparsely equipped clinic in Rwanda.
It wasn't what they expected, but it was precisely what God had planned, and thus planted the seed for Anchor of Hope.
Why Rwanda?
Rwanda, Land of a Thousand Hills, a beautiful culture, joyful people, and a country that has made such progress in all aspects of life after the chilling effects of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi. It is our joy to join Rwandans in this journey of restoring hope. We invite you to join us in sharing the hope of Jesus and helping the children of Rwanda reach their God given potential.
